The Historical Gilera Register is organizing for the 4th and the 5th of june 2022 the ‘Gilera meeting’, a Brand event taking place every five years within the Monza Sport Festival (organized by the USSMB). It will take place under the aegis of Federazione Motociclistica Italiana (FMI) and with the cooperation of Gilera Club Arcore, the Moto Club Monza ‘Oscar Clemencigh’ and the Moto Club Carate Brianza.
The two days activities will be located between the parc of Villa Borromeo Arcore and the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza; the motorcycles that characterized the production of the Gilera Brand during its long and successful history will parade in the ‘Temple of speed’, that this year turns its first 100 years (it was officially inaugurated on september the 3rd 1922).
We are preparing the event with the support and the experiences of the past editions 2000, 2005, 2009 (the last one was pulled one year earlier to celebrate the centenary of the first motorcycle built by Gilera in 1909) and 2015.
Contacts and agreements with Piaggio, private and public institutions, collectors, old motorcycles enthusiasts, italian and foreign press representatives are in progress, to secure their collaboration and support towards the mutual objective of organizing an interesting, well advertised and catching event.
Seven years after the last reunion, we are ready to celebrate again with two days of sport and fun, dedicated to the everlasting passion for the Trademark of the two interwinded rings.
The program of the event shall be carried out as follows:
Saturday 4th of june

static exhibition of the Moto Gilera inside the paddock of the Autodromo Nazionale Monza

opening of the photografic, documents and various objects exhibitions related to the history of Gilera inside the Sala del Camino, Municipality of Arcore

opening of the participants’ registration inside the parc of the Villa Borromeo
Sunday 5th of june
-
participants’ registration and opening of the exhibitions
-
parade of the participants in the streets of the town
-
participants’ transfer to the Autodromo Nazionale, Monza, entering from Porta Biassono (Santa Maria alle Selve street)
-
participants’ tours on the Monza track, entering from the old boxes
-
final parade of the Gilera racing machines from the pit lane
-
gathering of all participants in the area in front of the ‘Variante Ascari’ tribunes for the pic-nic
-
return to Arcore, final prize giving in the Villa Borromeo Parc
Monday april the 4th, 60 days before the event, we have opened the pre-registration that can be carried out by a proper form that must be filled completely and sent to mail address: segreteria@registrostoricogilera.org.
Pre-registration are open till Friday May 20th; after that date, the registration shall be possible on June 4th and 5th at the gazebos of Villa Borromeo, Arcore.
